Elise Ann Daniel Whiskey Creek Farms is owned and operated by Elise Ann Daniel who has been in the horse business for about 25 years. Elise started riding at the age of 7 and has never stopped. She had the luxury of Grandparents who were avid foxhunters and riders themselves, and supplied Elise and her sister with an endless number of mounts, some suitable and some not! Elise graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, the focus being equine nutrition and reproduction. After working her way through college, Elise worked on the A show circuit for several years, first working with John Madden Sales managing the show jumpers on the road and then working for the management company, Stadium Jumping that actually puts on the Winter Equestrian Festival. Elise started foxhunting on a regular basis while living in Tampa, Florida with Two Rivers Hounds. She hunted in the field for several years and then became a whip. While in Florida, Elise started Whiskey Creek Farms and began making and selling both foxhunters and show jumpers. For several years Elise worked in the business world and managed Whiskey Creek Farms on the side. In 1990 Elise quit her office job, packed up and moved to Northern Virginia and put her full focus on foxhunting and growing Whiskey Creek Farms to a top sales barn in Northern Virginia. In 2005 Elise decided to start a new chapter in her life!! She moved to Kuna, ID with 9 horses, 5 dogs, 2 cats, and most importantly, her son John. Elise has started another business in Boise Idaho called It's Just Lunch! as well as continuing with the training and sales of horses. |

Whiskey Creek Farms Whiskey Creek Farms was started in Tampa, Florida in 1986. At that time the farm sold several show jumpers along with some foxhunters. The farm moved to Northern Virginia in 1991 just an hour outside of Washington, D.C. at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Over a span of 15 years, Whiskey Creek Farms evolved into the premier farm for making and selling foxhunters on the east coast. In 2005 Whiskey Creek Farms became Whiskey Creek West with a big move to Kuna, ID. Though we continue to sell some horses on the east coast, we are now buying and selling horses from Idaho!! Our clientelle is spread out all over the country from California to Florida and New England and most places in between. Thirty to fifty horses per year have passed through the barn doors of Whiskey Creek on their way to a new home. We pride ourselves on matching horses to riders to make lasting relationships and loving homes for the horses. We have a standing policy that if a horse doesnt work out for an owner for any reason, we will take the horse back and resell it to a more suitable home. We like to take our time getting to know each and every horse so that we can place them in an appropriate situation. While most of our sales are foxhunters, we sell a fair number of event horses, jumper and event prospects and some youngsters from our small breeding operation. We have produced several top class show hunters and jumpers as well in the past 5 years and we are proud to have them representing our breeding program on the "A" circuit. We have imported many horses from Ireland and have converted many Ranch horses to spectacular foxhunters. Here in Idaho we have great contacts for finding nice ranch geldings and we still have all of our wonderful contacts in Ireland!! We are looking forward to continued successes in the horse industry from the beautiful Treasure Valley in Idaho!!
